It the beginning of this module, we had to choose one of the three products to design with the surface tool in Solidworks. The three products where a handheld vacuum cleaner, orbit sander of a glass shear. I have chosen for the vacuum cleaner, because it attracted me the most and I already started to think about a design. I wanted to make a organic and simple design that is easy to use.

During this module we learned how to build up a product with the surfaces tool. During the first AMR classes in the second year, we learned the basics of surface modeling. Now we had to implement that and adapt the design so it could be produced with the Injection Molding technique. The product is judged on the exterior and the interior, looking at the use of reinforcement ribs, mounting bosses and the splitting of the product.
