Lunchbox. Project 3B (Advanced Design)

September 2015 - January 2016

Venlo

This project was a follow-up on the project 3A. The assignment was to design a product that had a connection with the cubes that we designed in project 3A. (the connection was almost negligible) The product I chose was a lunchbox that could connect with an application on the phone/tablet. In this way children were able to develop knowledge about food and a healthy eating pattern. The application is the teacher of the children and the parents are able to check if the children were starting to understand it. I tried to keep the interface simple and playful, with less as possible steps and choices. The positive and understandable feedback will keep the child motivated. There is also added a function for the parent, to send their child a warm/lovely message that will pop up when the kid opens the lunchbox. In this way the children as the parents can build up a healthy dietary pattern on a playful manner. What I hoped to achieve was, that fewer children suffer from overweight.
